7 - Part 3 - Hands-on - Task 5
Task 5
Now it is your turn to experiment with sound in soundtracks.
Follow the steps:
- Record 2 videos with the same story/context/scenes, etc., and name them;
- Insert 2 different soundtracks;
- Post them in Task 5 on your Padlet.
When you are done, watch your classmates' videos and choose one to write a review of: How did the different sounds in it affect you? How did the soundtracks affect the story?
BUT FIRST...
Do you know what a review is? The goal of a review is to evaluate or judge something. We judge things every day. For example, you have a favourite band or television show, or you like a certain supermarket more than you like another. These are judgements. When you write a review, your job is to state your opinion or judgement and support it. You do this by presenting reasons and evidence.
To write a good review you need:
a) An introduction telling the name of the scene and your initial reaction to it.
b) Talk about how the scene affected you. Include information such as what impressed you and what didn't (be respectful!).
c) End your review stating whether you would recommend that people watch it or not and why.
Follow the steps:
- Choose your favorite post (the 2 videos with different sountracks);
- Write your review;
- Post it as a comment to the video.
Here's a list of apps to help you record and edit your videos by using your cellphone.
